Travertine

Travertine, the charming stone.

Realizations

Travertine is extracted from the time of the Etruscans in Tuscany, near Siena, and in the region of Lazio. This stone, for its infinite beauty, was used by the Romans in order to create works that are now part of the cultural heritage of our country, such as the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain. The fact that its color characteristics, which make it unique, and its technical characteristics remain unchanged over time, have meant that this material was widely used in works of classical architecture and contemporary architecture.

Travertine is a sedimentary limestone rock that stands out with its unique compactness. At the same time a stone is flexible and durable, making it ideal for many applications in construction. Being a special variety of marble, it is a material with a good degree of resistance to atmospheric agents and for this much used even in works of urban furniture, past and present.

Given the richness of its colors, depending on the oxide content, ranging from white to dark brown and from yellow to red, this material lends itself to create environments contemporary, modern and classic. Loved by architects and designers for its infinite possibilities of use, travertine is equipped with technical and aesthetic characteristics that make it suitable for use in our homes, both for simple projects sie for the more daring. With its wide range of colors and shades, travertine can be combined with other types of stone, like the equally famous porphyry and marble, to create aesthetic solutions unmatched. This stone brings elegance and charm to any environment and can be used for floors and walls, both external and internal.
